Designed around a three storey central space that allows light into the core of the building and provides passive ventilation. The building includes teaching rooms, staff offices, and a lecture theatre that can also be used as a moot room. The key to the organisation of the building is the provision of social learning areas for use by groups or individuals. There is also a roof garden with roof top meeting room. High levels of insulation are combined with natural ventilation throughout the building, with heating linked to a solar hot water system and a combined heat and power unit.
