SCARISBRICK NURSERY

This project involves the renovation and extension of an existing c. 1970s single storey building, previously accommodating 42 children ages 0-3. The proposal aimed to minimise intervention and impact within the context, while extending the existing area by 100% to meet the growing demand for places.

The scale of the extension has been kept to single storey as it felt most appropriate for the children. Large apertures in both the East and West elevations bring in plenty of natural light while framing views of the woodland and Grade I listed Scarisbrick Hall.
